Plus, controversy erupted over the decision to allow the pro-Hamas crowd to march alongside the pro-Israel rally, allowing the counterdemonstrators to blare music and yell at the Israeli supporters.
And finally, Rebel News reporter Alexa Lavoie is in Ottawa as members of Parliament return to the House of Commons, where she caught up with some Liberal MPs on their way into the building.

EZRA LEVANT | Donald Trump confronts South African president over white genocide
May 22nd, 2025 | 59 mins 49 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
The whole meeting was an ambush, and it was an amazing ambush. Ramaphosa had brought some white South Africans with him, likely trying to preempt Trump's accusations of racism. Ironically, one of Ramaphosa's own delegates spoke about the victimization of his friends and family due to anti-white violence. It's fascinating to watch the Left's response to claims of white refugees and white genocide. In Canada, many flatly deny the existence of such a thing. But yes, it is happening.

Today, we're looking at a warning from TD Bank's chief economist, who says Canada is heading for a recession and forecasted 100,000 jobs could be lost in the country.
Plus, President Trump announced the U.S. would be developing a "golden dome" missile defence technology — and apparently Canada is interested in joining in what could be a modernizing of North America's air-defence systems.
And finally, a crime wave is whipping through the Greater Toronto Area, but the city's top officials seem to be more concerned with other issues instead of residents' safety.

Tonight, Tommy Robinson purges his contempt of court, and he is expected to be released from prison later this week. Ezra Levant is back in London, England, to cover a hearing in which Tommy Robinson seeks to purge his contempt of court. That’s the legal term for when someone says to a judge, “Judge, I’m sorry. I want to come back into conformity with the law. I don’t want to be a dissident or defiant anymore. If I follow the rules, will you let me out of prison?” The judge must be persuaded that the individual genuinely means it. Tommy remains in prison tonight, but he is expected to be released later this week. Ezra plans to be there when Tommy walks free.
