Ezra Levant
Co-Host of Rebel News Podcast
Ezra Levant, the host of The Ezra Levant Show and founder of Rebel News, is a Canadian human rights activist, established political writer, and father.
He is also, self admittedly “not to everyone’s tastes,” due to his forward, to-the-point approach when it comes to talking about difficult issues including politics, free speech, foreign policy and much more.
Ezra Levant earned his degree in both commerce and law through the University of Calgary and has successfully written and published multiple bestselling books, such as Ethical Oil: The Case for Canada's Oil Sands; China Virus: How Justin Trudeau’s Pro-Communist Ideology is Putting Canadians in Danger; Trumping Trudeau: How Donald Trump will change Canada Even If Justin Trudeau Doesn’t know it yet; and The Libranos: What The Media Won't Tell You About Justin Trudeau's Corruption.
Ezra regularly calls out Canadian mainstream "media party" and calls for honest reporting and doesn’t shy away from having “controversial takes” in the name of free speech. He believes reporting should be separate from the government body and supports the presence of private, grassroots organizations like Rebel News.
Ezra regularly reports on important issues happening in Canada and the United States, tackling subjects that mainstream media won’t touch. He has no problem standing up to not only other news institutions but the government itself. He is outspoken about Trudeau’s government and regularly criticizes his policies and his efforts to censor news media. Ezra makes daily appearances on Rebel News and on their YouTube channel, which has amassed a following of 1.56 million subscribers.
Despite the best efforts of many to shut down the views of Rebel News, Ezra continues to hold steadfast against anti-free speech rhetoric and provides truthful, honest commentary on what’s going on in the world without fear. He isn’t afraid to go up to bat for what he believes in.
In 2014, he was chosen as the “most irritating Canadian” by the Globe and Mail’s TV Critic, while viewers voted him the “biggest name in Canadian broadcasting.”
Ezra Levant has hosted 1898 Episodes.

EZRA LEVANT | Interview with Keith Wilson, the lawyer going to federal court to fight Trudeau's suspended ban on unvaccinated travellers
September 20th, 2022 | 55 mins 33 secs

We've interviewed our next guest several times. Keith Wilson, K.C. is a senior lawyer from Alberta who works with the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms.
One of the cases we've focused on with him is the case of Brian Peckford and other plaintiffs, who filed a lawsuit on constitutional grounds challenging Trudeau's ban on unvaccinated people flying.
In the second largest country in the world, one of the coldest countries in the world, to tell people to they can't fly and have to drive because they're unvaccinated — or they can ride in a bus — because apparently the virus knows to not attack you if you're in a bus but it will attack you if you're in a plane? There's no science there.
This lawsuit was filed many months ago and it has taken months to proceed, for various government witnesses to answer questions under oath. And it's on the eve of trial, but as you probably know, a few months ago suspended his ban on unvaccinated people flying. And so the government is saying that this lawsuit is now moot and shouldn't be heard at all.
But I think it's important that the lawsuit be heard. We need to know, was it legal? Could they do it again? I think our judges have been too deferential these past two and a half years.
On tonight's show, we have a feature interview on that subject with Keith Wilson.

EZRA LEVANT | Half a million Canadians say that Trudeau has to go — and the Liberal Party says they’re just foreign-funded trolls and should be censored
September 19th, 2022 | 43 mins 3 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
Into this left-wing, globalist, think-alike swamp came a wonderful, refreshing, heart-warming trend.
I don’t think there’s ever been such a grassroots rebellion on social media. It was amazing.
Do you know who panicked? Justin Trudeau’s disgraced advisor, Gerald Butts.
GUEST: Breitbart technology editor Allum Bokhari on Bob Iger's comments on Twitter bots and Sen. Ted Cruz' amendment to Sen. Amy Klobuchar's Journalism Competition and Preservation Act.

EZRA LEVANT SHOW | There's an electric vehicle revolution — you can start it without me
September 15th, 2022 | 49 mins 7 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
GUEST HOST: David Menzies
So, the other day, the latest issue of Car and Driver plopped in my mailbox. Well, that’s not completely true. I don’t have a mailbox. I’m one of those second-class Canadians who doesn’t receive home mail delivery… I schlep over to some community mailbox thingy for the privilege of carting home copious quantities of junk mail.
I did eventually crack open that September issue of Car and Driver and was surprised to see it was their second annual all-Electric Vehicle issue.
Surprised, that is, because when Car and Driver published their first all-EV issue last year, the periodical received perhaps the greatest amount of hate mail in Car and Driver’s 67-year history. Who knew? Turns out most Car and Driver readers care less about EVs and more about V8s.
GUEST: Ex-police officer and Toronto mayoral candidate Blake Acton.

EZRA LEVANT | Justin Trudeau’s 'disinformation' czar just served us with a lawsuit threat
September 14th, 2022 | 40 mins 54 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
A terrible thing just happened. I'm sorry to bother you about it, but I really need your help.
Rebel News (and me personally) have just been served with a legal notice of intention to bring a lawsuit, sent by Trudeau's "disinformation" czar, Jean-Christophe Boucher.
You can read his threat letter in full, by clicking here.
He's coming to censor us, to shut us down, just like he publicly warned us would happen.
I need your help, please.
Boucher has unlimited resources. He has received massive grants from the Trudeau government that he's used to fund his work to smear Rebel News and other Trudeau critics. He's also a professor at the University of Calgary (my old university), which also has unlimited resources, too.
In fact, his legal threat was signed by the University of Calgary's lawyer. It wouldn't surprise me if the U of C is paying for this attack on us to ensure they keep getting more Trudeau grants.
But the main thing to know about this Boucher character is that he's Trudeau's censorship point man. He's the activist paid to lead Trudeau's campaign against “disinformation”. Which is Trudeau's new way of silencing his critics.
GUEST: Robert Davi, director of the new movie My Son Hunter.

EZRA LEVANT | A heartbreaking and infuriating interview with a victim of child sexual exploitation in the United Kingdom
September 13th, 2022 | 57 mins 36 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
You know our motto here at Rebel News. It's telling the other side of the story. Sometimes that means talking about a story that everybody's talking about, but just giving a different perspective. But sometimes that means telling a story that everyone else is afraid to even mention. Afraid for various reasons. It's too difficult to talk about certain things, or, you might be accused of being a bigot or a racist.
That's something that happened in the United Kingdom, over years — in fact, over decades — as a terrible phenomenon took root in that country. A phenomenon of 'rape gangs', groups of men who would sexually assault women, night after night after night. To say women is inaccurate — the victims were girls, children. It's child sexual exploitation on a mass scale.

This weekend, the Conservative Party of Canada had the results of their leadership contest. It's not surprise that Pierre Poilievre won; but what was, I think somewhat surprising, was the strength of his win.

It’s a failure. Not of fossil fuels. Of politicians who banned fossil fuels. Just like the last two years were a failure. Not at the hands of a virus, which was the equivalent to a bad flu year. It was a failure at the hands of politicians, who locked us down, using the virus as an excuse.

When it’s a lovely Canadian summer, and you can meet friends again, and there are music concerts and barbecues and life opens up again, you can forget the two years they stole from us.

DAVID MENZIES | The green police are coming for you!
September 1st, 2022 | 48 mins 20 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
GUEST HOST: David Menzies
For all you climate offenders out there, the kid gloves are coming off now given that the ECCC is going to get its own law enforcement staff. So, if you’re looking for a rewarding career in policing… would you believe a sort-of career in quasi-policing, you know, like being a member of the CN Police? – well, you have until the end of the month to apply for such a job via the federal government job board. I wonder if the feds are going to get Hugo Boss to make the uniforms?
Oh, it’s not just a bunch of green cops the ECCC is assembling by the way, but a new whiz-bang facility is also going up in Winnipeg. It will have interrogation rooms, biological labs, controlled quiet rooms, intelligence facilities, media relations offices, and a firearms armoury. Obviously, the green cops are exempt from Trudeau’s gun grab. And it’s all in the name of so-called “climate enforcement”; your tax dollars hard at work yet again!
You know, when I first came across this story, I immediately checked the calendar… perhaps I had fallen into a coma some eight months ago and had awakened on April First. But no, this Climate Cop initiative is no April Fool’s Day joke.
The government is denying it.
But who do you believe?
GUEST: Former Ontario MPP Randy Hillier

EZRA LEVANT | Should police arrest people for swearing? For being a 'bad person'? The political class gives a unanimous 'yes'
August 31st, 2022 | 58 mins 34 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
A lot of terrible things are happening in Canada right now. But when things happen with the government, look for the government to switch the subject, change the channel.
And this is the channel they changed to — this is a video filmed by someone going out on a stunt on his own. I'm not going to just show you the short cell phone video, I'm going to show you a two minute clip from a news station called CHCH.
GUEST: Katie Daviscourt on how Julie Jaman, an 80-year-old woman, was formally banned from a YMCA in Washington for asking a trans woman to leave the female change room. If you agree that the YMCA should reinstate her membership, visit http://www.LetHerSwim.com to sign the petition.
