DAVID MENZIES | Jean Charest addresses his fellow Conservatives — will he recover from this self-inflicted wound?
August 26th, 2022 | 32 mins 37 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
GUEST HOST: David Menzies
Jean Charest recently published an open letter in the Toronto Sun newspaper. It was addressed to:
“My fellow members of the Conservative Party of Canada; Please accept this as my final pitch to those of you who have yet to cast a ballot in the leadership race.”
Bottom line: there is one single solitary paragraph in Charest’s open letter that I wholeheartedly agree with:
“Canadians are looking for a leader who is ready to take on the responsibility of prime minister and all the responsibilities and the tough decisions that come with it.”
You are indeed correct, Jean. After seven years of misery under the Trudeau Liberals, Canadians are indeed looking for a brave Prime Minister to make tough decisions in order to repair a broken and divided country.
However that person is not you, Mr. Charest.
GUEST: Gary Duke from Grand Prairie, Alberta, used to be a Scotiabank client… until that bank decided to, well, fire him.

PragerU's host of Amala Ekpunobi: Unapologetic joins along with uber-popular commentator and Australian Sydney Watson to face a gauntlet of popular stories. The ladies give their opinion on a recent feud between Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy and conservative comedian/activist Alex Stein, which had some would-be fans of both personalities pulling back some of their support.
The duo also discuss NBA champion Dennis Rodman's aspirations of freeing women's basketball star Brittney Griner from Russian prison.
As well, the ladies give their remarks behind the paywall about a trans-identifying 10-year-old whom already has plans to have a sex change surgery at the age of 16, with the approval of two 'non-binary' parents. This, all while the child is set to walk the runway at a New York City fashion show for a 'transgender clothing' brand.
With so many topics and so much abuse to hurl around, join Andrew Says and two of the biggest female personalities with exclusive segments on RebelNews+!

EZRA LEVANT | Patrick Brown exonerated from another scandal — but we think the fix is in
August 25th, 2022 | 46 mins 14 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
GUEST HOST: David Menzies
You might remember our big scoop back in June when we revealed that Patrick Brown was using city of Brampton staff in his now thankfully aborted quest for the leadership for the Conservative Party of Canada.
Well, it turns out that our report prompted Brampton City Councillor Elaine Moore to file a complaint to the Brampton Integrity Commissioner’s office. That’s because using municipal resources and city staffers without them taking an unpaid leave of absence is contrary to the City of Brampton Code of Conduct and the Election Finances Act of Ontario and the Canada Elections Act.
Well, guess what? The investigation into these shenanigans just wrapped. And amazingly, the integrity commissioner has found that Mayor Patrick Brown did NOT – I repeat – did NOT wrongfully use city staff during his ill-fated CPC campaign.
GUEST: Marc Morano joins David to talk about his upcoming book, The Great Reset: Global Elites and the Permanent Lockdown.

SHEILA GUNN REID | Robbie Picard from Oilsands Strong is going on a national tour
August 24th, 2022 | 45 mins 3 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
The oil patch is a life-changing industry.
It gives people a way out of generational poverty without the burden of enormous student loans and the lag time between entry into the industry and earning potential. You can earn a fair income for your family with a strong work ethic and a desire to learn.
I think that's one of the reasons the Laurentian elites hate it so much. In the West, there is no such thing as “old money” and people in the path can earn as much as doctor, depending on what they do and how much they work. There are no social caste gatekeepers in the patch, as there are in liberal academic circles. It's true equality. There is no totem pole of oppression, just one of work experience.
And it's not just the people working in the patch that benefit from the jobs. Economic activity created by patch jobs keeps entire communities alive and farmers on the land.
The human story of oil and gas growth must be told, likewise the human cost when bad economic and green policies stop development.
That's what Robbie Picard from Oilsands Strong is doing with his national bus tour. He is going to visit the people and places of the oil and gas industry and speak to them to show the world who and what the oil patch is.
Robbie joins me tonight in an interview we recorded yesterday afternoon when we both visit the Rebel News Calgary HQ.

EZRA LEVANT | Finland has a party girl as a prime minister
August 24th, 2022 | 31 mins 49 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
I want to show you some news — it's not going to look like news at first, it's going to look like a rock music video with beautiful models.
I saw it a few weeks ago. They sort of look cool, the beautiful people. And I want to show you another video, I think it was shot at a bar.
Who are those super cool, beautiful people?
Well, they're not actually super models, they're politicians. And the star of those videos, the dancing girl, is Sanna Marin, the prime minister of Finland.
GUEST: Mark Joseph, a lawyer with The Democracy Fund joins Ezra to talk about their latest legal action on ArriveCAN and booster mandates for students at Western University.

EZRA LEVANT | Yesterday in Peterborough: I fought the law, and the law won
August 23rd, 2022 | 55 mins 2 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
GUEST HOST: David Menzies
Hey, folks, we finally had our day in court in that charming city of Peterborough, Ontario, otherwise known as the municipality where freedom goes to die under the ever-watchful gaze of a potty-mouthed mayor…
I’ll cut to the chase: I was found guilty yesterday of the heinous crime of not social distancing and/or masking when we covered a protest at Peterborough’s Confederation Park back on April 24, 2021.
Bottom line: perhaps you can score the Monday trial as a legal loss for us. Hey, you win some, you lose some. But I truly think that in the department of unintended consequences, this trial made for a journalistic win. Thanks to their prosecution of us and others, we have clearly exposed that the people running the City of Peterborough and the Police Service and even the courts embrace a hypocritical double standard.
GUEST: Avi Yemini joins David to talk about how he was denied entry to New Zealand to report on an anti-government protest in Wellington.

Miss Understood No. 28 — Feminists: Just Shut Up
August 23rd, 2022 | 36 mins 2 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
In Episode No. 28 of Miss Understood, we analyze the latest feminist news to hit the scene. From Serena Williams retiring from tennis cause she has a uterus to actress and producer Mindy Kaling promoting single motherhood, it appears this movement doesn't really believe it when they say “women can have it all.”
Plus, did you know working from home more negatively impacts women than men? We certainly didn't (because it doesn't).

DAILY | Trudeau, green schemes and democracy; Avi blocked from NZ; Mask and vax mandates return
August 23rd, 2022 | 31 mins 15 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump
Alberta and Quebec unite on today's livestream, as hosts Sheila Gunn Reid and Alexa Lavoie take a look at Prime Minister Trudeau's obsession with green schemes (and how these environmental issues are apparently staples of democracy), Rebel reporter Avi Yemini being barred from New Zealand and the return of mask and vaccine mandates at some post-secondary schools in Ontario — will more follow suit?
