Tonight, Justin Trudeau detaches Canada from our allies, and sides with Hamas in a key United Nations vote.

It was a disgraceful moment — and everyone knew it — when last night, Canadian ambassador to the United Nations Rob Brae, on Trudeau’s instruction, voted to condemn Israel in a resolution that specifically and proudly didn’t even mention Hamas.

Traditionally, the U.S. votes against such motions (to stand with Israel and ensure that any vote at the UN Security Council is vetoed) and other Western allies let America do the heavy lifting. So, last night, for example, the UK, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Ukraine, the Netherlands, and the new government of Argentina all abstained.

But not Canada. Canada voted to condemn Israel, more or less accusing Israel of war crimes, alongside countries like Syria, North Korea, Iran and Russia.

But why? Well, Trudeau might be bad at math when it comes to national finances but he can count votes. There are now five times as many Muslims as Jews in Canada, mainly due to unlimited immigration from Muslim countries.

That's who is in the streets. Some of the pro-Hamas protesters are first-generation Canadians but many are just off the plane — many aren’t even citizens yet. They've brought with them their ancient hatred from a foreign land and no one — certainly not Trudeau — has told them to stop. Peaceful truckers are stopped — they’re arrested and jailed and their bank accounts are seized — but not a peep from Trudeau about the antisemitic hate marches.

The polls are everywhere: Trudeau is behind by almost twenty percent.

But so what if Canadians don’t like him? He’s jacked up immigration to one million people per year. He’s already fast-tracked citizenship, reducing it down to three years. He’ll just add millions more Canadians who do like him and his pro-Hamas policies.

As a result, Canada is no longer with the US and the UK, or even countries like Hungary, Czechia, or Argentina. Canada's place is what you’d expect from Trudeau: It's standing with terrorists, opposite of our allies, throwing the Jews to the wolves.

  • EZRA LEVANT | Trudeau’s CBC state broadcaster does their best to smear Elon Musk

    December 12th, 2023  |  53 mins 48 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Tonight, Trudeau’s CBC state broadcaster does their best to smear Elon Musk.

A few months back, the CBC’s in-house ombudsman, who usually just whitewashes the state broadcaster’s ethical lapses, was so grossed out by one CBC story that he actually chided its author for smearing Trudeau’s enemies as conspiracy theorists. The reporter’s name is Jonathan Montpetit. They call him an “investigative journalist” but he’s really a mud-thrower, rehashing left-wing gossip about conservatives.

Montpetit doesn't actually investigate anyone or anything — certainly not speaking truth to power. He works for power, smearing power’s critics as kooky, goofy conspiracy theorists, and calls himself a journalist as he does it. Even CBC took a disliking to Montpetit’s article calling everyone he hates a “disinformationist."

Programmers at CBC assume a great responsibility when they choose to use terms such as “misinformation” and “disinformation” in their stories. When they do so, they had better be right, because if it turns out down the road that the information proved to be correct, they can do great damage to their reputation. Precision is key, and labels should be employed with great caution. Sometimes it would be safer to say that there is no evidence for something, rather than proclaiming it to be false.

It's a lesson Montpetit has yet to take to heart, as he was at it again, today, going after Trudeau’s latest enemy: Elon Musk and Twitter, now known as “x”. It was a boring, long, 2,000-word story, written to please Trudeau and his staff more than to get normal people to read it. But Ezra is ready to get his hands dirty, showing you the anatomy of a smear job.

GUEST: Marc Morano, publisher of Climate Depot, speaks on his experience attending the United Nations Climate Summit, COP28.

    December 1st, 2023  |  56 mins 28 secs
alberta, canada, conservative, culture, ezra levant, news, politics, pop culture, rebel, trudeau, trump

Ezra provides insight from his sit-down with Geert Wilders, leader of the Freedom Party in the Netherlands:

As you may know, I was in the Netherlands, a great European country with deep ties to Canada — we helped liberate them during the Second World War. They had a shockwave in their latest parliamentary election. The leader of the Party for Freedom, Geert Wilders, shocked the country and, I think, himself by coming in first by a country mile, and I was delighted to be the first non-Dutch journalist to talk to him about it.

He did allude in our conversation to the fact that Rebel News is independent citizen journalism, which he said is very important to contrarian, nonconformist parties like his. I showed you the whole interview last night and I hope you thought it was interesting. I knew I only had 15 minutes to talk to him because they jammed us in at the last minute between other appointments he had.

Sometimes in interviews, I provide a long thesis and I say to the interviewee, "What do you think?" But I didn't want to do that this time. I really wanted to get maximum talk time for him, and I wanted to cover certain issues, and not just go deep on some of them.

So what I thought I would do today is play questions and answers from our tight interview and then give you some thoughts afterwards.
